iPod nano cheaper on amazon, why?

Grey import? My first thought. Checked the serial number on Apple's website and it's all covered under warranty. Although under Apple's system is says until May. But I can always go back to Amazon if i have any problems.

Julian...one further thought for the day - if you're planning on updating your Mac's OS to 10.7 Lion when it comes out, then AppleWorks will almost certainly fail to work afterwards as there's no support for Rosetta (that I'm aware of) which will enable older Carbon apps, like AppleWorks, to...

Not for me, it did all I needed and as I mostly use it in the office with clients, I didn't need any of the Location stuff or any other high energy use. Turning Push notifications off saves a huge amount of power in itself.

The bag arrived late on yesterday. I have to say I'm very impressed with it! its a real heavyweight fabric wit a small mesh zip up section under the front flap. Inside the main compartment there's a neoprene iPad holder. The iPad fits in really nice and snug and is well protected. Enough room for a...

White iphone -
First post

As your girlfriend is going to be new to the iPhone experience, I would suggest getting one now as iPhone 5 will invariably be more expensive. The white iPhone is really only a couple of months old, but I would be surprised if network providers are not busily ordering phones to meet demand.

£30 sounds awfully cheap for good quality parts? The touchscreen is glued to the LCD display so that part alone normally costs £50+ unless you're planning to separate and re-use your existing LCD? Whoops! I meant £60.00

Make sure you transfer all purchases made on your iPhone into iTunes so that when you connect your new phone they will be recognised as yours and be transferred too.

I've just finished copying another half-dozen discs across (if HMV end up not going under, they'll have me to thank.) and, as I sit here, I can see that it's picking up the signal from the router at full strength (it's also got 2 bars for next-door's and it will pick up next-door's no problem from...

AFAIK a restore deletes everything personal, and puts it into the same state as if you had just bought a new one. Deleting personal data may still leave stuff in caches and in hidden files that can be accessed by third parties.

Simple thing to do is put a 4 digit passcode on your i phone if your data is top secret. I would be more concerned with the hassle of losing an expensive phone than someone finding my location data. In fact if my phone was nicked I would also be concerned with some low life having access to my...
