I woke up this morning to find my lock/power button doesn't work on my 3GS, booked an appointment, backed up, had appointment been given a brand new (not refurbished) model.
I now have a dilemma, my old 3GS was getting a bit slow, presumably because of everything I had on there (quite a bit that i didn't really need too). So, do I restore from backup my new iPhone, or do I just act as if it was a new phone, only putting the bits I want on there? (I.e. not put any crap that was on there before, back on?)
What do you think I should do?
Thanks, Tim.

I'd transfer everything and then see if it all works, then get rid of stuff you don't want which is incredibly easy to do. HTH

Make sure you transfer all purchases made on your iPhone into iTunes so that when you connect your new phone they will be recognised as yours and be transferred too.
