Are others experiencing the following annoyance?: After turning on my phone, and getting the SIM-card locked screen, and after entering my password, I have to repeatedly hit the ”OK” on the screen. Sometimes it takes 15 times in order for the OK to respond and get me my Home screen.
This never happened before iOS 12. And I believe that the OK area is very small, as compared to earlier OS versions. The interface was different, and the OK area greater in size.
iPhone 7+ / iOS 12.0.1

Nope. What's the sim card locked screen? Never seen it. I just fire up my 5s it askes me for my six digit password. Hey voila, phone opens to my home screen. I'm on iOS 12 too.

I am referring to the screen in which I must give the password for the sim-card to be unlocked.
My phone is not password-protected. After turning the phone on, I get my Home screen, which is then immediately replaced by a screen asking for my sim-card password. If I don't give it, my phone is not a phone; it's a tiny computer.

I don't know anyone who locks the SIM. The usual passcode should protect the iPhone but of course, thinking out loud, not the SIM if that is pinched. Why turn it off at all, which invokes the lock? Then the SIM is protected if removed and you won't get the hassle.
