It is reported to be very important.
In security updates posted online on Wednesday and Thursday, Apple said the vulnerability affects iPhones dating back to the 6S model, iPad 5th generation and later, iPad Air 2 and later, iPad mini 4 and later, all iPad Pro models and the 7th generation iPod touch.
Affected also are Macs running recent versions of the OS and using Safari.

Indeed. My daughter is having trouble updating her things because of demand now it is on the news. Lucky I did all mine yesterday.

I had read that iOS 16 would be out today but I am getting iOS/iPadOS 15.7 as I type. Important security updates.

I also read that iOS 16 was available today. When I checked just a few hours ago, there was nothing for me. Checking right now, however, shows that 16 is available. But there is some (unspecified) update needed in advance in order to get 16. That is happening as we speak.

I know that only a few of us have HomePod(s) but mine are going to 15.6 all on their own. Apple has changed the Home app. That will take some adjusting (I'm old).
