I sat and watched 'Dead Mans Shoes' again, directed by Shane Meadow's who brought us 'This Is England' and follow on's Set in a little town in the Midlands where the unlucky ones were picked on, this follows the story of Antony with learning difficulties, and his older brother Richard who returns after a spell in the army. Here's a trailer...one of the most powerful movies I've ever seen.

Talking of films, can't believe the news about Tony Scott, directed some of my favourite films, Man on Fire is excellent, as are some other films he directed.

Not sure what to think about this, Lou Ferrigno's back in an action film called Liberator! The website's pretty awful... http://liberatormovie.com/

I watched Goodfellas last night. For what seems like the 50th time. But it's still brilliant.
The steady cam shot when Henry takes Karen into the nightclub through the kitchen is just fantastic.

Saw Skyfall last night. Thought it was excellent and highly recommend it - Bond fan or not. As a die-hard Bond fan I think the return of Q etc was just brilliant. The cinema audience actually "wooped" at the return of the Aston Martin DB5 too!

I had an Aston Martin DB5 Dinky toy in the 60s. The roof opened and the ejector seat threw the driver into the air, and the bullet proof shield came up at the back too. Brings back memories! I really must see this Bond film.

Decided to watch a film and missus suggested Blade Runner - it's 30 years old now. Heard of it, obviously, but had never seen it until now. It was labelled at the end as 2007 director's cut. Then this morning watched an episode of Justified, recorded in the spring, which was preceded by a news report that they are looking at making a Blade Runner 2....

Saw Skyfall tonight. Enjoyed it, a very personal Bond film. Not as good as Casino Royale for me.

I saw my very first IMAX film on Wednesday - Skyfall. I then went and watched it again last night! Brilliant film and fantastic on IMAX. My wife has decided its the best Bond film ever; a bold statement indeed but her opinion. My local cinema, Cineworld, have just converted an auditorium to IMAX and Skyfall was its opening film. The only reason they've done this is that Vue are about to come to town and will be having an IMAX screen. Until they open Cineworld are trying to coin it in until the competition hunts them down; it cost me £27 for two adult tickets last night!!!
