From midnight, my speed has been voluntarily reduced with VM from the 350 package to their 100 offering. I didn't really need the speed but by cutting a deal with them, I reduced my monthly fee by about £37. That can go towards energy costs, booze or gadgets.

That is two votes for booze.
So far, www things have not been affected adversely.

VM sent me an email. I got a free speed upgrade. I just had to restart the modem to activate it (Hub4).
I ran the Speedtest app for Mac. It has gone from 112 down 10.0 up to 139 down 20.8 up.
Apparently all VM customers are getting a free boost "soon".

Nice to get a free upgrade. Shortly after my paid upgrade I was getting this https://www.speedtest.net/my-result/i/5328673489However, now it's sorted itself out, up is about the same as down. If I wasn't such a skint flint, I could have 900Mbps asymmetric Fibre to the property for the win!

Of course you never see these speeds from anybody but the speed test sites, but T-Mobile 5G Phone Hotspot...

Just switched from Sky to EE/BT Originally I was thinking of just switching my mobile deal as my Sky mobile signal has gone downhill in the last 6 months. Although decent 5G sounded nice I didn't want to pay silly money for it. So I got the Sim only deal and its really nice to have fast 5G and EE called me back to offer me a fibre deal slightly cheaper than SKY but said they would boost my 5G up to unlimited for £10 pm which is a no brainer for me.. They then asked me about TV and offered a more flexible package than Sky that saved me about £50 pm as I have no interest in the basic Sky TV package. I just wanted the football channels which I can cancel in the off season months and restart again in August. Got the Mobile 5G already and it's really good so far and the Fibre and TV comes later this month. I would imagine the fibre on EE is similar to Sky as it comes through Openreach and I will save money on the flexible TV service
