My wife had got a pop-up ad for a gadget called a (Link to review which may or may not be simply an advert). Plug it into a USB slot, press an on-screen button and it will find all the pictures and videos on your computer. It can spot duplicates and takes "only a few minutes" to copy all it finds on the computer.

I've got digital photos going back to my first digital camera in 2001, spread over a number of HDDs, so doubt even the largest one would hold much.

Anybody used one of these?
Or do you know of software (low cost/free) that could do the same job, saving to an external drive I already have?

Hold Option or alt key when selecting Find to Find All.

Search for ends in... jpg, etc.

I use PhotoSweeper to find duplicates.
