Just got a text from my surgery, date for jab part two, couldn't get a date next week when I am volunteering at the stab centre ! That would have been fun. No queues though as I am the doorman ( gate keeper)
Didn't feel a thing first time, I know this one will hurt as the microchip kicks in.

Had my first jab on Saturday, it was the Oxford one which has given some people I know flu like symptoms for a few days. It’s Monday evening and I feel just fine, looks like I’ve got away without the side effects.

Side effects are (allegedly) good. It shows you are reacting to the vaccine.
My lad here had his first on Saturday and felt like he had 'flu. He has improved. He is 29 so well before expected date.

At the moment I wish I hadn't had it. I had the Oxford vaccine at 5:35 last night. Was ok when I went to bed. Woke up in the middle of the night freezing cold. Couldn't lie in the same position for more than about an hour before it started hurting again. Head feels like I been out drinking all night. Every muscle and joint aches like hell.

Welcome to the club. Best part of three weeks later, my major twitching and fever problems have subsided but I've still got stiff, painful joints. Feels like my blood pressure is higher too. I'm hoping the second jab won't have such crappy results now my body is used to it.

I'll join Jezza in celebrating Year Zero with a pint down the pub in my head. Could have done with fewer funerals though, one was too many.
My jab reactions have settled with the osteoarthritis permanently slightly worse than it was, but after all these years with poxy OA I'm more or less used to it.

I find the "re-opening" of Scotland and lesser moves in Wales to be suspicious what with the elections in both counties taking place just over a week. Even if it is kosher management, I'm still in the cynical team. Most politicians are a slimy self-centred bunch. Here's to the next peak.

Well, if there's a peak anything near what we've had before then the vaccines will have been a total failure.

Joint pain in hands, ankles and hips is still there and getting no better. Heard nothing since reporting the symptoms and certainly no second jab date yet.
