^ Yes indeed. We use the roads like anyone else. It is only fair really. It was only an incentive to get things rolling, as it were. The grant to purchase an EV ended a few months ago and were already diminishing with time. I don't know where things stand regarding home charge point grants but they'll probably go soon if not already.

According to a report in the current edition of AutoExpress magazine, VED will apply to electric vehicles from 1st April 2025. It will be a rate on a par with polluters. I missed that in the Autumn Statement. There's a small incentive gone.
I did a search for a link and there are many, so here's the BBC:

I pay £30 a year for my petrol Golf. Just wondering when they will make that upto the standard rate.

I read in Autocar magazine that Tesla are to stop making right hand drive cars due to "mechanical and logistical complexities". That's got to hit sales in countries that drive on the correct side of the road.
I found a link.

Further to the educated comment above... Tesla recently canceled production of right-hand-drive (RHD) variants of the Model S and Model X in the UK and other countries. Its solution for customers in Britain who still need to reach out of the right-hand side of the car is both comical and questionable. It’s called The Reacher and it’s exactly what you think it is… but with Tesla branding.I kid you not - I'll let the linked page show you what it is.

Why anyone chooses to give that complete and utter plank any of their money I will never understand.
