Yes, I thought it wouldn't be easy and it's not something I would attempt myself - though I might ask our IT company (An Apple Authorised Repairer) and see what they'd charge to add Airport. It's definitely got Bluetooth as I launched the Bluetooth Setup Assistant and it found various mobile phones in the office so that seems to be working.
It just surprised me that Apple sold Mac minis with just Bluetooth installed - I was under the impression that the two came as one optional extra when you bought it. I must have got that wrong obviously.
So, in theory, it will have the daughterboard and antennas already - I'd just need a standard Airport Extreme card and someone to fit it, yes? I'm owed a favour from said IT company as I designed a load of marketing material for them recently - I might try my luck and see if they'll fit it for nowt!
I'm going to do a full clean install of Leopard on Monday, it's currently running Tiger and has a few apps missing so it makes sense to have a clean start ready for my dad to use it.
Cheers for that link.Statistics: Posted by MacOS10 — Fri Sep 23, 2011 6:17 pm
